Warranty Policy

Effective Date: 3 August 2026

At GardenPatch, we are committed to supplying quality products sourced from trusted manufacturers and suppliers. This Warranty Policy explains how product warranties are handled and outlines your rights and responsibilities regarding warranty claims.

By purchasing products from GardenPatch, you agree to the terms of this Warranty Policy.

1. Manufacturer's Warranty

Many products sold by GardenPatch are covered by a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods and coverage vary depending on the product and manufacturer.

Where a manufacturer's warranty applies, the warranty terms, conditions, and duration provided by the manufacturer will govern the warranty claim.

Customers are encouraged to review the warranty information included with their product.

2. GardenPatch Warranty

Unless otherwise stated, GardenPatch does not provide an additional warranty beyond any warranty offered by the manufacturer or those rights available under applicable South African consumer protection laws.

3. Warranty Coverage

Subject to the applicable warranty terms, warranties generally cover defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal, intended use of the product.

Warranty coverage does not include every type of damage or issue.

4. Warranty Exclusions

A warranty claim may not be accepted where damage or defects result from, including but not limited to:

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Improper installation or assembly.

  • Incorrect use or misuse.

  • Neglect or lack of maintenance.

  • Accidental damage.

  • Abuse or unauthorised modifications.

  • Improper storage.

  • Commercial use where the product is intended for residential use.

  • Damage caused by weather, flooding, fire, lightning, power surges, or other external events.

  • Failure to follow the manufacturer's operating or maintenance instructions.

  •

5. Live Plants

Due to the natural characteristics of live plants, flowers, and trees, GardenPatch cannot guarantee continued growth, flowering, or survival after delivery.

Customers are responsible for providing appropriate planting, watering, sunlight, soil conditions, and ongoing care.

Warranty claims are generally not available for live plants unless required by applicable law or where the

product was delivered in an unsatisfactory condition.

6. Artificial Products, Furniture & Equipment

Warranty coverage for artificial plants, artificial grass, garden furniture, lawnmowers, agricultural equipment, water pumps, sweepers, wood chippers, and other equipment is subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms where applicable.

Customers should retain all manuals, warranty documentation, and proof of purchase.

7. Making a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim, please contact GardenPatch and provide:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase.

  • A description of the issue.

  • Photographs or videos clearly showing the defect (where applicable).

  • Any additional information reasonably required to assess the claim.

Failure to provide sufficient information may delay the assessment of your claim.

8. Warranty Assessment

Warranty claims may require inspection by GardenPatch, the manufacturer, or an authorised service provider.

Products may need to be returned for testing or inspection before a warranty decision can be made.

GardenPatch reserves the right to determine the appropriate resolution after the warranty assessment has been completed.

9. Warranty Remedies

Where a valid warranty claim is approved, GardenPatch or the manufacturer may, at their discretion and subject to applicable law:

  • Repair the product.

  • Replace the product.

  • Replace defective parts.

  • Provide a refund where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

The remedy offered will depend on the nature of the defect, product availability, and the applicable warranty terms.

10. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) or any other applicable South African legislation.

11. Changes to this Warranty Policy

GardenPatch reserves the right to update or amend this Warranty Policy at any time. Any changes will be published on this page together with the revised effective date.
